Shanghai Defence Force contingent will

reach China early in March. Unless a real emergency

occurs it will not be possible to detach warship

to Singapore pending the arrival of the contingent

in Chinese waters H.M.S. Dauntless is due to call

at Singapore about 7th March If situation in China

permits she could remain there temporarily.

27th January.
